Handmaid respects the privacy of visitors to, and users of, the Handmaid website (the “Site”).

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the types of information Handmaid gathers about you when you visit or use the Site, how Handmaid may use that information, and whether and how Handmaid discloses it to third parties.

You can use this website without disclosing any personal information.  Providing some information is optional when you fill in our form. If you choose not to enter the details we require for a booking, we may be unable to proceed with the booking.

When you make an inquiry or conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated below only.

The reason we collect personal information

Handmaid will not collect any personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address, unless you provide it to us voluntarily. We collect such non-personal and personal information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate our business services;

• To communicate with you, including dealing with enquiries, quotes and bookings, and to provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

• To be able to contact our website visitors and users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages, for example newsletters about our products and services;

• To improve our services or website. 

• To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way.. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password (if any); computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to collect statistical information to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page, however these will not include personally identifiable information.

How we store and use site visitors' personal information

If you provide personal information, it is held by us indefinitely. We do not sell, publish or give away any customer contact information or personal details of any kind to other parties.

How we communicate with our site visitors

We may contact you to notify you regarding problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. How we use cookies and other tracking tools

Handmaid may use browser-based cookies and/or flash shared objects, which are small text files placed on your computer’s hard drive, as well as web beacons (also known as pixel tags), which are electronic images embedded into a web page, on the Site. Cookies, shared objects and web beacons are used for record keeping, to track your movements when you visit the Site and to help Handmaid and authorised third party vendors to determine what type of information to present to you. The use of cookies, shared objects and web beacons is an industry standard practice used at most websites and can enhance a user’s experience on a website.

 

Handmaid's cookies, shared objects and web beacons do not contain personally identifiable information, and do not damage or alter your system files. Although you can choose not to accept cookies through a setting on most browsers (which can also be set to notify you each time a cookie is set), if you choose to refuse cookies, you may not be able to use all of the features of the Site.

There may be times when you will have the opportunity to subscribe to an email list or electronic newsletter that will send information about the Site and/or the Service.

Even if you choose to become a subscriber, you will have the option to change your preferences and opt-out of receiving those communications. You may request at any time that Handmaid not email you in the future by clicking the “unsubscribe” link which is included at the bottom of any promotional email that you receive from Handmaid, or by contacting Handmaid at info@handmaid.nz .  If you unsubscribe, Handmaid will make reasonable efforts to discontinue these email communications as soon as practicable. For avoidance of doubt, the “opt out” described in this section applies only to promotional communications.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. 

 

Miscellaneous

In the event that Handmaid, or all or substantially all of its assets, is acquired by one or more third parties as a result of an acquisition, merger, sale, reorganisation, consolidation or liquidation, databases containing client information may be one of the transferred assets. In using the Site, you hereby consent to such transfer.
